EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

Resolve Anxiety-Panic-PTSD-Phobias

Are you ready to resolve your past traumas?

Do you feel stuck in panic, anxiety, grief, or depression? Do you have a phobia of driving on the freeway, flying, or something else? EMDR therapy can help. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is a treatment designed to help people get unstuck from the places or memories they are struggling to move past. This includes the effects of car accidents, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, or dealing with the aftermath of a crime. EMDR is the most widely researched and effective treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am also trained in Flash which is an EMDR technique that allows you to process traumatic memories without focusing on them directly. When it is appropriate it can be an easier and faster way of processing trauma.

Symptoms of Trauma

Trauma, which is an emotional response to a terrible event, often manifests as unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, or physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. Many people often experience strained relationships or difficulty relating to others. You may feel anxious frequently, have emotional outbursts, and/or avoid certain situations. EMDR can help you release the trauma so that you won’t have those symptoms anymore.

Live A Calmer Life

If you experience anxiety, PTSD, or panic I can help you. I’m an experienced therapist who specializes in working with anxiety and trauma. My style is interactive and fully engaged with you. With EMDR some issues can be resolved in as few as four sessions. Call me and I will be happy to discuss treatment expectations with you.

Results

My clients are often amazed at the results they get from EMDR. While no therapist can guarantee results I have helped people cope with phobias, PTSD, anxiety, and feeling stuck. I once heard someone describe EMDR as Drano for the brain, it unclogs things. I found that one of the most apt descriptions I had heard.

What Does EMDR Look Like

I am currently only providing EMDR via Telehealth. I am only accepting short-term EMDR clients or clients that are interested in EMDR intensives. I am offering 60-minute, 90-minute and 3-hour session lengths. I will not work with a client for longer than 3 months. We start by doing a thorough assessment and then establish a treatment plan that you agree with. Then we begin processing. You will be tapping on your legs or shoulders or doing Bilateral Stimulation in another manner. With the longer intensive and session lengths, we can progress quickly through your treatment goals.

EMDR Intensives

To address the huge need for trauma therapy and the lack of therapists I am currently focusing my clinical work on EMDR Intensives. Read more here.
